A Little History

This band began as the Yesterday Band in the early 1990's.  In the late 90's, Gerald O'Neil
added more members and changed the name to The Today Big Band until his untimely
death in the summer of 2006.  Most of the members of that band continue now as The Coast
Big Band
. Band members include business men and women, a rocket scientist, a pilot, some
retired folks, and some from the music industry.

The Coast Big Band is available for wedding receptions, conventions, special events, and dances.
The band has both a gospel set and a full jazz church service available.  A few of the past performances
includes the Southern Governor's Conference, The American Heart Association Galas, the Mississippi
State Medical Association Convention, The Mrs. America Pageant and more recently the
Senior Prom for the Harrison County Development Commission attended by 1200 people.
